Disturbing chants to provoke clubs and supporters who have suffered massive losses of life have unfortunately become too frequent at Premier League matches, and it seems football authorities have finally decided to take the issue seriously after Luton fans mocked the victims of the Hillsborough Disaster during their 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Kenilworth Road last week.
The Premier League strongly condemns all forms of football tragedy abuse and is appalled by the chanting heard at Sunday’s match between Luton and Liverpool.
